Making Fresh Butter (April)

We already studied that milk comes from cows,
but today we found out something very interesting that can be made from milk.

We put cream into plastic (PET) bottles and then vigorously shook them until... suddenly, the liquid became solid!
We had just made fresh butter (which of course required tasting.)

"Where does butter come from? " "It's made from cream."
"Where does cream come from?" "It is part of milk? " "And milk?" It comes from a cow's udder."

Cow Milking (April)

This month's theme is "on the farm". Today we learned that the milk we drink everyday comes from a cow's udder.

Using latex gloves, we simulated milking a cow.
The hardest parts were waiting for one's turn and resisting the temptation to squirt people!

Valentine's Day (Feb. 14)

Today was Valentine's Day, so everyone came wearing red.

We also did face painting and made Valentine's cards: "Beeeeee mine!"
Safari Tour (Feb.)

This week's theme was savanna, so to wrap things up, we went on a safari.
We saw many animals...

"Look at that! I can see a monkey. "
"I found a spider! "
Setsubun (Feb. 3)

Today was the Japanese "Setsubun" festival, so we celebrated by making "beans" out of paper.
Where did that demon come from?

"Get out and stay out!" ...
"Welcome happiness!"
